Everyone Needs A Life Coach

Change is hard, and big goals take significant commitments. When starting something new or scary, you are more likely to be successful if you're working with a guide with your best interest in mind versus going it alone. Unfortunately, no matter how inspired or passionate you are, old patterns and behaviors can get in the way.

Whether pursuing a corporate career, paving a path all your own as an entrepreneur, or just feeling stuck, one thing is for sure: Everyone needs a little support now and again because even at our best, we all have blind spots preventing us from seeing the whole picture of our lives and the thoughts, habits, and behaviors that hinder our growth. Unfortunately, the same holds for our boss, friends, and family. While those close to us may have the best intentions, they often lack the sensitivity to analyze a given situation and deliver practical, actionable advice. So, who do you turn to for unbiased evaluation and expertise? Enter the life coach.

Successful people are not comfortable leaving success up to chance. Engaging a life coach is an excellent example of how those seeking personal and professional growth take charge of their vision for their lives. And there is no face lost in seeking support in the form of a life coach. Some very high achievers vouch for the value of coaching, e.g., both Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates have commented on their experiences with life coaching. Winfrey says this about her experience, "Coaching helps you stop the crazy mind chatter in your head that tells you all the time that you're not good enough." Bill Gates follows suit with, "Everyone needs a coach." and " We all need people that give us feedback. That's how we improve."

It's clear that ambition alone is no guarantee for success. You can undoubtedly draft a plan for success by yourself, but working with a coach helps you create a realistic plan that works! A good life coach will help you dream big and stretch your horizons to create a compelling and positive vision for your life and enable you to chart the course to get there. All the while holding you accountable.

Even with a great plan, there will always be challenges along the way. When you hit a snag, your life coach can help you overcome the challenge and help you get back on track. Then, you can feel comfortable knowing someone has your back.

Whether you need a life coach or not boils down to this: If you want to move out of a situation you're unhappy with and not sure how you need a life coach. If you're going to move yourself to a better place than the one you're in now and unsure about what to do next, you need a life coach. In short, everyone needs a life coach sometimes in their life.
